Job Summary
Looking for an experienced accounting professional to assist with reviewing tax returns (1040, 1040NR, 1120s, 1065, 1120) that tax preparers worked on before and tax preparation for some complex tax returns. Some of the tax returns will be from international clients so knowledge and experience in international taxation is required. Tax preparation software utilized is UltraTax CS.

Responsibilities :

• Relevant experience in preparing/reviewing Individual and Business Tax returns and other US tax forms (1040, 1040NR, 1120s, 1065, 1120)
• Assessment of situation and list of documents needed from clients
• Reviewing tax returns pending to be transmitted to IRS
• Tax preparation support for some complex tax returns
• Improvement of tax processes
• Weekly meetings with partners to discuss complex and/or new cases
• IRS Representations (in complex situations)
• Meetings with potential and current clients as needed

Skills :

• Tax review
• Accounting
• International taxation
• Spanish (Preferred but not dealbreaker)
• UltraTax CS (Preferred but not dealbreaker)
• Forms 5471 and 5472
• Forms 114 (FBAR) and 8938
• Forms 8804 and 8805

Requirements :

• Certified Public Accountant or an Enrolled Agent is required
• International taxation experience (2 years or more)
• US State tax preparation experience is a MUST
• Active PTIN (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree

Job Summary :

• Prepare tax payments
• Complete quarterly and annual tax reports
• Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns
• Share financial data with the accounting department
• Reconcilies financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Maintain financial reports, records
• Handling BIR compliances
• Other tasks that may be assigned

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications :

• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required
• Has solid experience in handling taxation, BIR books of account, BIR compliances and BIR transactions, tax annualization, audit, LOA and other tax related transactions
• Has good English communication skills both written and oral.
• Able to get along in a team well
• Proficient in MS Office and knows how to use some formulas is an advantage
• Willing to extend hours if needed
• Willing to work in BGC, office set up, from Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 6pm
• Living nearby BGC or willing to relocate nearby BGC
