Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative Videographer to capture high-quality video content that aligns with our brand and storytelling objectives. The Videographer will be responsible for planning, filming, and editing video projects, including promotional content, corporate events, interviews, and social media clips. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for visual composition, attention to detail, and a passion for video storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Operate video cameras, audio, lighting, and other production equipment.
• Plan and film video content based on creative briefs or project needs.
• Edit raw footage into polished videos using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Collaborate with the marketing team, producers, and creative directors to meet project goals.
• Capture and integrate motion graphics, sound design, voiceovers, and music.
• Manage and maintain video equipment and ensure its functionality.
• Archive and organize video files and backups.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in videography.

Basic Requirements

• Proven experience as a Videographer or similar role.
• Proficiency in video editing software and post-production tools.
• Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting setups, and audio recording.
• A creative eye and attention to visual detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and storytelling skills.
• Portfolio or reel of past video work is required.
• Degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience with drone videography or live streaming is a plus.
• Knowledge of color grading, motion graphics, or animation.

Working Conditions

• May require travel for on-location shoots.
• Ability to lift and carry video equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Education & Training
   • Formal education (optional but helpful): Degree or diploma in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field.
   • Workshops/Certifications: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or videography boot camps.
   • On-the-job experience often outweighs formal education.
2. Technical Skills
   • Camera operation: Proficiency with DSLR, mirrorless, cinema, or camcorders.
   • Audio recording: Knowledge of mics, boom poles, audio levels, and sync.
   • Lighting: Ability to set up and manipulate lighting (natural & artificial).
   • Video editing: Skilled with editing software like Final Cut Pro.
   • Colour grading & correction
   • Motion graphics: Basic knowledge of After Effects or similar.
3. Creative Abilities
   • Strong eye for composition, framing, and storytelling.
   • Knowledge of pacing, tone, and narrative.
   • Ability to storyboard or conceptualize shots.
4. Soft Skills
   • Communication: Works well with clients, talent, and team.
   • Time management: Meets deadlines and manages shoot/edit timelines.
   • Problem-solving: Adapts quickly to technical or environmental issues.
   • Attention to detail: Focuses on both the big picture and finer elements.
5. Experience
   • Portfolio or show reel showcasing past work.
   • Prior work with clients, production teams, or as a freelancer.
   • Experience in specific niches (weddings, corporate videos, music videos, documentaries, etc.).
6. Physical Requirements
   • Ability to carry gear and work long hours during shoots.
   • Comfort with travel and outdoor conditions if required.
7. Knowledge of Trends
   • Familiarity with social media video formats (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
   • Understanding of emerging technologies (drones, 360° video, VR).

Knowledge and Skills

Video Editing: Proficient with Adobe Suite; Audio Mixing; Lighting; Color grading; Motion graphics (basic).
