The Production Support Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to the Insurance Policy Administration System (PAS), as well as driving system enhancements to improve functionality and user experience. This role demands a strong understanding of insurance operations, production support processes, and stakeholder management. The BA will report directly to the Head of Production Support. Incident and Problem Management Triage & Investigation: Categorize incidents based on impact and urgency; analyze logs and diagnose root causes to determine corrective actions. Workarounds & Resolution: Implement temporary fixes to restore services promptly while collaborating on long-term preventive solutions. Communication & Documentation: Keep stakeholders updated, maintain detailed issue logs, and document root causes and resolutions to improve future handling. Business & Functional Analysis Gather, document, and validate business requirements for PAS system enhancements. Collaborate closely with configuration teams to deliver required system changes. Support backlog prioritization in coordination with the Production Support Lead. Testing & User Acceptance Support Conduct functional testing to validate fixes and enhancements. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating test cases and guiding business users. Non-Negotiable Requirements Hands-on experience with Policy Administration Systems (PAS). Strong understanding of how to apply insurance principles to system development. Experience with policy lifecycle development, preferably including rating program creation. Required Skills & Knowledge Solid understanding of commercial insurance processes and terminology. Proven experience working with PAS. Ability to analyze system and data-related issues, identify gaps, and recommend effective solutions. Strong stakeholder management skills; able to communicate effectively with both technical and business teams. Collaborative: Comfortable working in small teams with a solution-oriented approach. Can-Do Attitude: Driven, resourceful, and eager to take initiative. Experience & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of Business Analyst experience within the insurance industry. Proven experience in business requirements gathering, prioritization, and estimation.
