Software Engineer

Infor Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines Join to apply for the Software Engineer - Java role at Infor Responsibilities Develop an understanding of LMO applications and processes, incorporating them into design, development, and documentation of functional and technical requirements. Design, develop, and document applications; perform bug fixes, investigations, root cause analysis, release testing, maintenance, and general support. Perform code reviews, peer reviews, and test case reviews with fellow engineers and quality assurance analysts. Communicate with QA analysts, business analysts, technical support specialists, product owners, and other software engineers to clarify and refine product functionalities, issues, and requirements. Create project plans, risk assessments, and work estimates. Assist in test execution and build of test systems, including unit test development and maintenance. Produce documentation, reports, and presentations for applications, features, processes, and issues, involving research and analysis. Exercise judgment within established procedures, practices, and policies when selecting methods and techniques for solutions. Participate in discussions on testing, automation, functional requirements, technical requirements, processes, and development related to project and technical activities. Deliver software according to requirements and planning. What You Will Need Bachelor's degree or similar in software engineering or computer science. At least one and a half years of technical experience in product development, implementation, or product support. Intermediate knowledge of Java. Intermediate knowledge of SQL (preferably MySQL). Intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Basic/Intermediate knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot. Good developer instincts and critical thinking. Creative and imaginative problem‑solving skills. Determined and consistent drive for improvement and innovation. General technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, programming, and implementation. General analytical and design skills at a single product/single environment level. General skills in research, project planning, and implementation. General understanding of the entire development process, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance. Strong sense of teamwork, cooperation, and coordination. Good communication and interpersonal skills, including a good command of written and spoken English. What Will Put You Ahead? Basic/Intermediate knowledge of Node and React. Basic/Intermediate knowledge or experience with Agile Scrum methodology. Basic/Intermediate knowledge of cloud and AWS. Basic/Intermediate knowledge of AI and Machine Learning. Basic/Intermediate knowledge of Data Science. Basic/Intermediate knowledge of Python. Ability to understand business processes, analyze new requirements, and define development and technical considerations. Good understanding of technical and development methodologies.
