Key Responsibilities

  • Philippine Equities
  • Conduct deep-dive fundamental research on Philippine-listed companies across multiple sectors.
  • Build and maintain financial models to forecast earnings, valuation multiples, and capital structures.
  • Serve as a liaison with company management by participating in earnings calls, investor briefings, and direct interviews.
  • Produce equity research reports with actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.
  • Track macroeconomic trends, regulatory developments, and sector-specific catalysts impacting company performance.
  • Monitor daily market movements, liquidity, and trading volumes to provide real-time insights.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers on portfolio monitoring and investment strategy reviews.
  • Venture Capital
  • Support the deal origination process by mapping ecosystems and identifying high-potential startups.
  • Perform financial, operational, and strategic due diligence on startups, including customer references and business model validation.
  • Build dynamic financial models for scenario testing and valuation of startups
  • Draft investment memos, pitch decks, and presentations for the investment committee and external investors.
  • Conduct industry deep-dives into emerging sectors such as fintech, healthtech, consumer goods, SaaS, etc.
  • Track competitive landscapes and benchmark portfolio companies against peers.
  • Assist in portfolio management, including performance tracking, KPI reporting, and follow-on funding analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date on global trends, M&A activity, and capital flows to inform investment decisions.

  • Synthesize research findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with external partners, advisors, and industry experts to enhance deal flow and market understanding.
  • Manage data sources, databases, and research tools (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, PitchBook, Crunchbase, etc.) to ensure high-quality research.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Postgraduate degree or CFA/CPA designation is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, venture capital, or management consulting.
  • Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, self-starter attitude.
  • Proficiency with research platforms (Bloomberg, FactSet, PitchBook, Capital IQ, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis in a clear manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity, problem-solving ability, and commercial mindset.
