Back End Developer

Reports to: Chief Technology Officer

Overview

We are looking for a Back End Developer to support our technology team and play a key role in developing and maintaining our cloud-based applications and platforms. You will deliver APIs, enhance system functionality, and ensure seamless integration of backend components. You will work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to implement APIs, enhance system functionality, and ensure seamless integration of backend components.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of backend applications and APIs.
  • Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug backend issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies relevant to backend development and cloud computing.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing server-side applications, including at least 1 year of experience with Node.js
  • Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS
  • Experience with unit testing
  • Experience using Git
  • Experience with designing APIs
  • Docker
  • Experience in SDLC processes
  • Understanding of algorithms and data structures

Will be a plus

  • Experience with React or other front-end frameworks
  • SSR, SSG
  • GraphQL, gRPC
  • Knowledge of other backend technologies
