We are seeking a talented Actuarial Analyst or Senior Actuarial Analyst to join the Asia Valuation Shared Services (VSSC) team within MBPS Actuarial Function. The team, established in 2012, focuses on Valuation, Liability and Asset Modelling, Experience Analytics, Pricing, and more. MBPS Actuarial offers global opportunities across actuarial disciplines, a development program, job rotation, and a leadership team dedicated to growth.

Position Responsibilities
  • Develop, validate, and implement model changes (e.g., basis changes, new products, and other model enhancements) into production models following VSSC Model Change Management guidelines, ensuring models adhere to accepted modeling principles.
  • Monitor and manage quarterly controls such as reserve movement analysis, audit logs, inclusion controls, upstream report validation for Source of Earnings, New Business Embedded Value, and Local capital.
  • Support business units with annual and ad-hoc projects including Basis Changes, Regulatory Requirements/Changes, and annual audit requirements.
  • Effectively communicate the status and results of changes to country leads and local Business Units.
  • Identify and implement solutions to improve VSSC tools, processes, and the overall framework.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of actuarial work experience in Insurance or Financial Services
  • Meaningful progress toward Associate designation in an actuarial organization (SOA, ASP)
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Excel, VBA, Access), GGY AXIS, SQL, QlikView, Python or similar programs
  • Demonstrated ability to apply actuarial concepts to independently model and analyze actuarial financial metrics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize and communicate results to various levels of the organization
  • Strong prioritization and multi-tasking abilities with attention to detail
  • Amenable to work at UP Ayala TechnoHub (Quezon City)
  • Amenable to a hybrid work arrangement (3x onsite per week)
