Finance Services Analyst - Financial Accounting and Tax Join to apply for the Finance Services Analyst - Financial Accounting and Tax role at QBE Insurance Primary Details Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeSupporting the Senior Manager, Project Finance on day‑to‑day operational tasks Primary Responsibilities Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are met May contribute and manage the refinement of process, procedures and systems to continuously improve the efficiency of accounting activities Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal and external auditors, to ensure service delivery meets customer expectations Coding of monthly intercompany recharges Coding GL ledger transactions against project initiatives Prepare monthly management reports Analyze variances of actual vs budget and provide commentary Perform deep dive analysis of costs Collaborate with divisional finance teams where investigation of costs incurred are required Preparation of payment requisitions Prepare month end accruals Provide cross coverage for Reporting analyst, GIS Required Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience Preferred Competencies/Skills Strong skills in spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures Problem solving skills Stakeholder management Strong Communication Skills Analytical Skills Proficient in MS Tools Keen to details Can work with minimal supervision Preferred Experience At least 1-2 years in a similar role, preferably in Finance industry Insurance experience is desirable Preferred Knowledge Broad knowledge of Financial and Accounting Procedures Good knowledge of relevant software and tools is preferred Thorough understanding of Best Practice in Accounting QBE Cultural DNA QBE Cultural DNA We are customer‑focused We are technical experts We are inclusive We are fast‑paced We are courageous We are accountable We are a team Skills Analytical Thinking, Communication, Cost Management, Critical Thinking, Economic Forecasting, Financial Accounting, Financial Data Reporting, Financial Products, Intentional collaboration, Managing performance, Prioritization, Problem Solving, Research Analysis, Risk Management, Working Independently How to Apply To submit your application, click "Apply" and follow the step‑by‑step process.
