Job Summary The Monitoring Analyst is responsible for providing 1st-level support for all alerts and monitoring supported services globally, ensuring prompt, professional, and courteous responses. Key Functions Monitor network and systems health, investigate signals, and report findings using monitoring software. Conduct initial analysis, troubleshooting, escalation, and coordination of incidents according to the defined escalation process. Follow appropriate handover procedures for outstanding logged tickets. Log, tag, track, and perform first-level fixes for servers, networks, and application alerts in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and established procedures. Coordinate with internal IT groups (Infrastructure, Applications, etc.) to ensure SLA compliance. Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures, including Information Security standards. Primary Technical Abilities 1. Monitoring Specialist Task Proficiency Proficient in PC Operating Systems (Windows 98/XP/2000/7 and above). Skilled in Windows Server Operating Systems and Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). Knowledgeable in Linux Operating Systems. Ability to monitor assigned tasks and generate scheduled global reports. Familiar with monitoring tools such as Nagios, AppDynamics, Elastic, SolarWinds, and other similar systems. Ability to research and utilize manuals, knowledge bases, and other resources. Collaborates effectively with other Monitoring Support Specialists and IT colleagues to resolve alerts and monitoring concerns. Eager to learn and adapt to new situations and evolving technologies. Competent in setting up alerts, navigation, and administration for monitoring tools (Nagios, AppDynamics, Elastic, SolarWinds, etc.). 2. Teamwork Willing to assist other Monitoring Support Specialists during unavailability or emergencies to ensure service continuity. Able to handover and document ongoing tasks for the next shift or team member. Secondary Technical Abilities Familiarity with ITIL framework. Knowledge of ticketing tools. Supplementary Information (Requirements) Education Bachelor’s or College degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Experience Minimum 2 years experience in monitoring tasks or infrastructure support (including problem tracking and incident management). Advantage: Exposure to application, network environment, and software tool setup, configuration, and maintenance. Advantage: Experience in customer interaction. Skills Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks. Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills. Able to explain technical functions in simple terms for non-technical users. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Capable of scheduling, organizing, and managing work assignments.
