Principal Responsibilities Creates and executes strategic internal and external marketing plans and strategies for hotels that creatively advance reputation and business objectives. Identifies and pursues strategic local partnerships, developing collaterals and other marketing assets such as photography, to achieve targets and awareness Oversee marketing plans to focus on business development, i.e. Revenue generation and return on investment Develop and maintain ongoing strategies in line with revenue budgets to ensure revenue targets are met and exceeded where possible Accurately report on campaigns, analyse performance and look for opportunities to repeat &/or improve Work closely with Resort Managers to develop annual marketing plans, and ensure plans are implemented with results achieved Implement processes that grow our customer databases and lead generation activities, and look for opportunities to engage with target markets with a focus on business development Develops the messaging and thepublicityoutreach program to maintain effective media coverage of hotel in local and key markets through distribution of press releases and newsworthy articles, media and influencer hosting programs and engagement. Identifies and executes email and DM strategies to increase engagement and positive sentiment in local and key markets. Copywriting for owned platforms and other communications Content audits for websites to ensure accuracy and best practices are implemented Ensure brand guidelines are met with attention to detail. Organise hotel marketing meetings to present marketing strategy and outcomes Collaborate with program managers on how a new opportunity identified might assist their teams with assigned business strategic goals Key Position Criteria 2-4 years marketing related experience with proven expertise in marketing strategy and content/campaign management. Must include tertiary qualifications with a minimum graduate or post-graduate qualifications in business related discipline. Experience in travel and hospitality preferred. Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills – High level of technical and professional skill and knowledge in marketing programs, strategy, campaigns and research; keeps up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise; ability to develop strategies and programs for achievement of results Experience using a variety of Marketing platforms including Facebook Business Manager, Google Ads, basic website html coding, design programs (Adobe / Canva), and Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Added bonus if experience using Salesforce or Merlin CRM. Building Strategic Working Relationships – Developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. Aligning Performance for Success – Focuses and guides others in accomplishing work objectives. Decision Making – Identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences. Excellent interpersonal skills, including persuasive abilities, effective listening, diplomacy and tact, team-playing with demonstrated success in dealing with corporates.
