Penetration Tester

Overview

Penetration Tester at Manulife, Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines. Manulife’s Global Cybersecurity Services - Application Security is building a Penetration Testing Centre of Excellence (COE) to deliver penetration test capabilities for all segments in Manulife. You will work closely with the business team and second line of defense to assess scope and effort based on identified risk areas and execute assigned engagements in alignment with common penetration testing industry frameworks.

• Evaluate the security posture of the organization, assessing potential threats and vulnerabilities in one or more of the following areas:
  • Web Applications and/or Network Security
  • Microservices
  • Mobile Applications
• Develop and communicate the potential impacts of a cyber attack to relevant stakeholders.
• Evaluate different security solutions and advise on how to best protect the organization from cyber threats.
• Ensure alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements for the information security program.
• Perform security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop security controls, policies and procedures to address issues.
• Conduct comprehensive network scans and manual network assessments, including penetration testing and vulnerability scans.
• Write reports with technical details, risk analysis and remediation recommendations for identified issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Holds an Information Security certification or is undergoing security certification/training such as OSCP, OSCE, CEH, GWAPT, GPEN, or eWPT is preferred.
• At least 2 years of IT experience with hands-on penetration testing on external/internal networks, operating systems, web applications, etc.
• Technical knowledge of current vulnerabilities, exploits and tools.
• Understanding of VAPT concepts and methods.
• Ability to adopt security industry best practices and procedures.
• Exposure to various security assessment frameworks and the ability to perform both manual and automated testing.
• Interest in researching evolving exploits, techniques and tools for penetration testing efforts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clear assessment reporting.
• Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with team members and employees.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Experience working in an international environment with people from multiple cultures is preferred.
• Beginner / Fundamental Knowledge in: Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing, Security Risk Assessment, Risk Management, Security Testing, Cyber Threat Intelligence.
