What you’ll do

As a Senior Tax Specialist based in Makati, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation’s adherence to all relevant tax laws while supporting both routine operations and special projects.

  • Ensure full compliance with local and national tax laws by preparing, filing, and managing all required tax returns and documentation on time.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain detailed financial reports related to various tax requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of supporting schedules.
  • Communicate professionally with vendors and customers regarding tax exemption certificates and address any other tax-related inquiries promptly.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation or BIR regulations to ensure ongoing alignment with government policies.
  • Promote knowledge sharing within the team by documenting processes and mentoring junior staff when needed.
What you bring

The ideal candidate for the Senior Tax Specialist position brings extensive hands-on experience managing diverse aspects of corporate taxation within complex organisational settings.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field with Certified Public Accountant qualification required for this position.
  • At least 5 years' proven experience handling tax compliance functions within large organisations; exposure to FMCG or multinational industries is highly regarded but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage VAT, Withholding Tax, corporate income taxes, and other statutory requirements independently from end-to-end.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities allowing you to interact confidently with auditors, vendors, customers, and internal teams alike.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Makati five days per week as well as travel occasionally to Laguna based on operational requirements.
