As an Inventory Planning Specialist , you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement and inventory process. This includes forecasting demand, ordering materials, coordinating with logistics, and ensuring inventory levels meet production and customer requirements. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments, including production, logistics, and finance. What You’ll Do Forecast demand by analysing past sales, current market trends and planned production schedules. Monitor and maintain ideal stock levels to avoid excess inventory or shortages. Raise purchase requests and coordinate orders to ensure timely supply. Work with logistics and warehouse teams to track imports, deliveries and stock receipts. Analyse procurement and inventory performance: track metrics such as turnover, supplier delivery, cost and accuracy. Collaborate across teams (production, sales, finance, logistics) to make sure inventory plans align with business goals. Assist in cost-control initiatives and ensure purchases stay within budget. What We’re Looking For Minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory, procurement or supply chain roles (import/distribution industry preferred). Proficient in inventory/planning systems (e.g., SAP, ERP/MRP) and strong proficiency in MS Excel. Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills. Able to work on night shift schedule. Good communication and negotiation skills; detail-oriented and accountable. Exposure to import/export documentation and global logistics is a plus.
