FSQA Specialist

The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that a company's food products meet established standards of safety and quality. They complete tasks related to food inspection, testing, and regulatory compliance, and play a crucial role in protecting consumers and maintaining the company's reputation. The individual needs a good understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards, good organizational skills, and good problem-solving abilities. They should also have good communication skills, as they often need to coordinate with various stakeholders, from production staff to suppliers to regulatory authorities.

1. Serve as the first point of contact for stakeholder inquiries, processing requests for Food Safety and Quality data, trend analyses, data validation, or data manipulation.
2. Assist stakeholders in implementing food safety and compliance processes such as onboarding suppliers and products or evaluating root causes of customer-reported errors.
3. Use expertise and knowledge from the industry to help stakeholders implement best practice product quality specifications.
4. Analyze internally and externally reported issues related to food safety and quality issues and provide input to category managers on trends.
5. Verify the completeness and accuracy of information made available to user-facing systems, ensuring information provided to internal and external customers is accurate and up-to-date.
6. Correct any FSQA data discrepancies in compliance with preset guidelines and regulations.
7. Populate data across systems to ensure consistency and accuracy of information across the HelloFresh Group supply chain.
8. Be accountable to specific KPIs set by the team lead to improve efficiency and accuracy of your work output.

• Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or similar scientific degree (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.) with at least 1 year of previous work experience.
• Knowledge of food safety systems and HACCP.
• A self-starter eager to develop knowledge and skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle diverse user inquiries effectively.
• Familiarity with food labeling legislations for the assigned region (UK, EU, Canada, or Australia & New Zealand).
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, MS Office, or related tools to create spreadsheets and presentations.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Availability to work in the designated time zone for the assigned region (UK, EU, Canada, or Asia-Pacific).
