Finance Specialist (Financial Planning & Analysis) Capital One – Muntinlupa City, National Capital Region, Philippines Join the Team Apply now to become a Finance Specialist (Financial Planning & Analysis) for Capital One. General Responsibilities Prepare and consolidate working templates for the projection of budget for the assigned LOBs on a quarterly (or as needed) and annual basis, including gathering, reviewing, and validating budget assumptions. Consolidate budget requests for assigned LOBs and expenses, ensuring data relevance and appropriateness. Regularly check in with LOBs to review budget assumptions, close gaps, and prepare decks for proposal review. Deploy approved LOB and AB plans and maintain hardcopy records with sign‑off. Act as an LOB partner to ensure proper budget utilization, discussing actuals versus budget, and providing guidance on budgeting matters. Prepare management reports such as P&L statements, monthly P&L projections, MBR & QBR slides, and other ad‑hoc reports. Simulate cost‑saving initiatives, projects, or new investments. Update standard procedures for Budget & Reporting. Identify and drive process improvements as needed. Perform any other job‑related duties that may be assigned. Educational Background Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required; CMA preferred. Professional Experience 2‑3 years of budget‑related experience. Preferably 1 year audit experience and 1 year supervisory experience. Experience in a multinational company, shared‑service center, BPO, or call center setting is preferred. Skills Required Knowledge of standard accounting policies and procedures. Experience with PeopleSoft or other ERP systems (SAP, Oracle). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Detail‑oriented with high level of accuracy. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to identify opportunity areas and drive process improvements. Strong learning agility and ownership for personal development. Excellent follow‑through and collaboration across functions. Flexible, resilient, adaptable to change, and willing to extend hours during budget season and month‑end closing. Exceptional client service orientation and ability to meet/exceed expectations. Capability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
