This role requires a deep technical background, the ability to collaborate closely with development teams, and advanced knowledge of headless CMS platforms and hardcoded websites. Key Responsibilities 1. Technical SEO & Site Architecture Audit, optimise, and manage SEO for headless CMS and hardcoded websites. Partner with developers to design, build, and implement SEO- friendly tools, scripts, and frameworks. Ensure technical requirements such as structured data, site speed, crawlability, mobile-first indexing, and Core Web Vitals are implemented correctly. Maintain and optimise sitemaps, canonicalisation, hreflang, and schema markup. 2. Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as the primary SEO authority when working with dev teams, ensuring requirements are translated into efficient and sustainable solutions. Provide technical documentation and best practices for developers and content teams. Troubleshoot and resolve indexing, rendering, and crawling issues at scale. 3. Off-Page SEO & Authority Building Develop and execute advanced link acquisition strategies, including high-quality guest posting, and outreach. Build and manage relationships with publishers, webmasters, and industry partners to drive high-authority backlinks. Monitor link profile health, disavow toxic links, and ensure compliance with Google guidelines. 4. Analytics, Reporting & Growth Strategy Perform in-depth technical SEO audits and deliver actionable insights. Leverage tools like Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and server log analysers for decision-making.Stay ahead of algorithm updates, industry changes, and emerging SEO technologies. Report performance metrics, growth trends, and provide clear roadmaps for scaling organic visibility. Qualifications 10+ years in SEO with a strong focus on technical SEO and off-page optimisation. Proven success managing SEO for enterprise-level, headless, and hardcoded websites. Deep experience with site migrations, international and local SEO, and structured data implementation. Strong portfolio of results showing growth in rankings, traffic, and authority. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Plus (not required): Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, APIs, and server configurations. What Success Looks Like Significant improvement in organic visibility and keyword rankings for high-value Telco and competitive industry terms. Technical SEO issues (crawlability, indexing, site speed, Core Web Vitals, schema, hreflang) are identified, prioritised, and resolved efficiently in collaboration with the dev team. Seamless SEO implementation across headless CMS and hardcoded environments, ensuring scalability and long-term performance. Healthy and growing backlink profile, with authoritative links secured through guest posting, outreach, and digital PR. Clear and consistent SEO reporting that translates complex data into actionable insights for business leaders. Direct contribution to conversion rate growth and organic traffic share, supporting overall business revenue goals.
