About the Role

This position oversees and manages the financial, investment performance, and governance reporting functions of the department. It supports the Head of Investment Governance and Performance Reporting in managing the governance framework, regulatory compliance, and performance measurement processes related to AIA PH and BPI AIA’s General Account and Unit-Linked Investments. The role ensures high-quality reporting, effective oversight of outsourced fund managers, and sound investment governance practices.

Reporting scope includes:

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis on investment activities including NII & GOE Budgeting
  2. Unit-Linked Investment Performance & Analysis
  3. Investment Marketing materials
  4. Investment GOE monitoring and SAA/TAA Sub-Fund Asset Allocation Monitoring
  5. Compliance monitoring
  6. Group Initiated Projects
  7. Other Management Reporting functions
Key Responsibilities Investment Governance
  • Monitor compliance of outsourced fund managers with investment mandates, internal policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in reviewing investment guidelines, mandate documentation, and fund manager governance.
  • Maintain and update governance dashboards and monitoring tools to flag breaches or delays.
  • Support due diligence and review of Fund Managers.
Performance Reporting and Analysis
  • Prepare and validate periodic investment performance reports for stakeholders, Board Committees, and regulators.
  • Analyze attribution and benchmark results, highlighting key performance drivers.
  • Collaborate with fund managers and custodians to ensure data accuracy.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Prepare periodic investment management reports, including Performance Tracking, SIA, OPAT, and ALM reports.
  • Prepare annual NII budget and monitor actual results for variances.
  • Generate reports for Business Reviews (Monthly MBR, Quarterly QBR).
  • Monitor GOE budget for the Investment Department.
  • Conduct stress tests related to Performance and Risk management for submission to FRMC.
  • Monitor SAA/TAA sub-fund Asset Allocation.
  • Address queries from stakeholders and coordinate reporting requirements.
Regulatory and Internal Reporting
  • Prepare monthly Fund Fact Sheets and Annual VUL Reports, review inputs, and ensure timely submission.
  • Assist in preparing investment sections of Annual Statements, Regulatory submissions, and Group reports (IFRS, Solvency, Risk).
  • Track ESG-related reporting compliance.
Risk and Audit Support
  • Ensure procedures align with the Investment Governance Framework.
  • Support internal audits and operational risk reviews, providing documentation and follow-up.
  • Assist in documenting procedures, control checklists, and business continuity plans.
Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate with external fund managers, custodians, data vendors, and internal departments.
  • Prepare materials for Investment Committee, Board Committees, and Working Groups.
Group-wide System Implementation
  • Collaborate with Group on projects to automate report generation, reducing workload.
Other Administrative Functions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs.
