Actuarial Analyst

We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our Asia Valuation Shared Service Center (VSSC). Established in June 2017, the Asia VSSC is a developing center of excellence providing modeling and valuation support across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and implement model changes, such as basis changes, new products, and other enhancements, following VSSC Model Change Management guidelines and VST modeling principles.
  • Monitor and manage quarterly controls, including reserve movement analysis, audit logs, inclusion controls, upstream report validation for Source of Earnings, New Business Embedded Value, and Canadian/Local capital.
  • Support business units with annual and ad-hoc projects related to Basis Changes, Regulatory Requirements/Changes, and audits.
  • Communicate the status and results of changes effectively to country leads and local Business Units.
  • Identify and implement improvements to VSSC tools, processes, and frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • 2+ years of experience in the life insurance industry; modeling and valuation experience is a plus; understanding regulations and business operations is advantageous.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with experience applying actuarial concepts to model and analyze financial metrics; experience with Axis modeling and VST principles is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to convey ideas and results to stakeholders.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize effectively.
  • Adaptability to evolving environments and resilience under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration experience.
  • Passionate about growth and committed to being a trusted business partner.
