Join to apply for the Packaging Production Artist role at BruntWork About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Production Artist to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong technical design skills, and hands‑on experience in packaging production. As a key part of our design and production workflow, you will collaborate closely with the Prepress Manager and broader team to ensure packaging designs are flawlessly executed — from concept through to final production. Job Highlights Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm with 1 hour unpaid break | Mountain Time Work Arrangement: Work from home Side note: Since this is a permanent work‑from‑home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process. Key Responsibilities Prepare and refine production‑ready artwork for packaging, ensuring accuracy in layout, typography, color, and branding consistency. Conduct preflight checks to ensure files meet all production specifications. Collaborate with the Prepress Manager, designers, and production teams to adapt creative concepts into final, print‑ready packaging files. Work with dielines, prepress standards, and various printing requirements to achieve high‑quality outputs. Ensure all materials align with brand guidelines and are technically sound for production. Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines. Troubleshoot and resolve production‑related issues to ensure smooth translation from digital design to physical packaging. Maintain an organized digital asset management system for packaging templates, files, and versioning. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as a Production Artist, Prepress Specialist, or similar role in a creative or manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite — particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign (advanced Illustrator skills preferred). In‑depth knowledge of print production processes, including color management, prepress, and dielines. Experience with packaging for CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), food, or similar industries is highly regarded. Familiarity with digital, flexographic, and offset printing processes preferred. Preferred Background 3+ years of experience in packaging design, prepress, or production art. Strong technical expertise with print and packaging workflows . Experience in the food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry preferred. Proactive communicator who can identify and solve production issues early.
