Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for managing and coordinating freight shipments with carriers and internal clients. This includes booking orders, maintaining shipment records, ensuring documentation accuracy, and providing excellent support from pickup to delivery. The CSR also monitors load progress, updates customers on shipment status, and helps resolve any issues that may affect delivery timelines. Key Responsibilities Book orders and coordinate with carriers to arrange shipments. Monitor and respond promptly to emails and dispatch boards. Enter orders and shipment details accurately into the system. Communicate with carriers to confirm pickup and delivery schedules. Track shipments daily and follow up to ensure smooth transport. Update customers on shipment progress or any delays/issues. Check and upload required customs and shipping documents. Verify that all shipment information and paperwork are complete and accurate. Follow up on pending invoices and missing documentation. Ensure all processes comply with company policies and procedures. Provide reports for internal and customer updates as required. Support additional functions such as training or mentoring, as needed. Skills and Qualifications Experience in customer service, preferably in logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with order management systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle time-sensitive requests. Team player with a customer-focused mindset.
