oPrepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.oEnsure financial statements are in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).oPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.oMaintain general ledgers and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.oReconcile bank statements and verify financial transactions.oEnsure that accounts payable and receivable are processed in a timely manner.oPrepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.oResearch tax issues and advise management on the tax implications of business decisions.oManage tax liabilities and make recommendations for tax-saving opportunities.oAssist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.oMonitor and compare actual financial performance against the budget and analyze discrepancies.oAdvise management on cost control measures.oSupport internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.oEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.oReview and improve internal accounting procedures to ensure best practices and prevent fraud.oOversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries and wages.oEnsure compliance with payroll-related tax laws and reporting requirements.oHandle employee benefits accounting, including pensions, healthcare, and other benefits.oAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.oProvide advice to management regarding financial performance and business strategy.oMonitor cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and business growth.oAssist in identifying cost-cutting measures and efficiency improvements within the organization.oTrack and analyze overheads, operational costs, and other expenses.oMaintain and update accounting software and financial databases.oEnsure proper implementation and use of financial management tools.oRecommend improvements to the accounting system to enhance efficiency and accuracy.•Communicate with clients, and banks as needed to resolve financial issues.•Ensure all financial records are complete, accurate, and stored securely.•Provide support to other departments on financial matters, as necessary.
