Finance Transformation Manager

Job Overview:The Finance Transformation Manager - Indirect Tax is responsible for leading and managing the transformation of indirect tax (e.g., VAT, GST, Sales Tax) processes within the finance function. This role focuses on driving automation, efficiency, and compliance improvements in indirect tax reporting, compliance, and governance through process optimization, technology solutions, and strategic initiatives. The manager will work closely with tax, finance, and IT teams to implement innovative solutions that streamline indirect tax processes and enhance overall business performance.Bring your best skills forward to excel in the role:Leadership skills to boost efficiency and productivity of the teamAbility to collaborate with geographically dispersed teamsAbility to solve complex business problems and deliver client delightStrong writing skills to build point of views on current industry trendsGood analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude to learn quicklyExcellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skillsCross-cultural competence with an ability to thrive in a dynamic consulting environmentKey Responsibilities:Identify opportunities to build your own network within the firm to drive business development activities.Lead project delivery, client conversations, pitch proposals and manage stakeholders on the project, both internal and external.Prepare business cases and provide solution options, project plans, estimates, staffing requirements and execution approach for the tax opportunities to the stakeholders.Lead the team of experienced resources and guide members on project executions as per timelines.Lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality within constraints of time and budget.Coordinate with client organizations and work towards maintaining and enhancing effective client relationships.Be responsible for performance management of resources, support recruitment and other people initiatives including training, and so on.Develop key thought leadership material on tax functions or other related transformation projects.Qualifications:MBA from a Tier-1 B-school. CA or CPA8+ years of work experience preferably in financial areas order to cash, source to pay, record to report with tax relevanceMust have at least 3 full lifecycle implementation experience in implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or tax technologyTax Type - VAT, GST, SUT, WHT, Digital Compliance ReportingERP - SAP or OracleTax Technologies - Vertex O Series, OneSource, SOVOSTax add-on tools - Vertex Accelerator, OneSource Global Next, LCR-DixonDeep understanding of multiple tax types and business processesMust have experience in handling a team of 5-10 resources independentlyExperience in digital reporting, compliance and e-invoicing solutionsExposure to working in globally distributed workforce environment, both onshore and offshoreWhat We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Comprehensive training and mentorship to ensure your success.Opportunities for career growth and development.A supportive team environment that values your contributions.
