Description of business in JRI Philippine branchThe JRI Philippine branch covers developments, maintenance, and operations of IT systems for SMFG group companies to catch up with robust IT requirements and to enlarge IT development capacity with skillful IT resources from off-shore centers. The Philippine branch is the first captive off-shore IT center of SMFG.It will start with projects of development/operations for the JRI HO and its Singapore branch due to the limited availability of IT resources in Japan and Singapore. JRI expects the Philippines to provide rich resources to projects in those countries and contribute to faster and better implementation mainly in the following areas.System development and testing services for banking applications and internal applications to SMFG group companiesDevelopments and testing services of cloud services supporting the group’s SDG initiativesIT platform / Infrastructure support servicesDesktop support servicesAs a starting member of the Philippine branch, we expect the person to be a bridge between the Japanese headquarters, Singapore, and the Philippines.There will be a business trip to Japan, and the person can build their career and experience.For test engineers, we anticipate becoming the QA Lead of the QA team in the future. Initially, due to its small scale, we expect them to collaborate with the team members to launch the QA team and carry out actual QA tasks. Therefore, they will be responsible for conducting tests on various applications. While having domain knowledge is preferred, Knowledge Transfer will be provided. We prefer experience in QA for .Net systems for web systems. As for Salesforce, we are considering hiring with separate skills, so it is not mandatory.Below are examples of the actual systems/apps planned for development/testing:Web service for calculating/reducing CO2 emissions for Japanese companies (Web)Payment system for SMBC APAC branch (particularly for Indonesia initially) (.Net)CRM system for use within SMBC in Japan and overseas (Salesforce)Technologies:a)Cloud services like Amazon web services, Microsoft Azure including Microsoft365 and Power Platformb)Programming languages: Java, .Net, and other major script languagesc)Databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL, etc.d)Other market products of banking applications[Preferred]Experience in system developmentParticipation in Agile teamsExperience in offshore projectsExperience as a leader in a test teamPossession of ISTQB certificationOnline interview is available: 1st Philippine HR and Japanese side 2nd Philippine CEO (could be F2F once)Candidates from the Finance industry but it is not a must
