Sales Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement annual sales plans, strategies, and growth plans aligned with the company's "Route to Market" strategy to expand distribution and achieve profitable sales volume.
Market Analysis: Analyze economic, social, and political activities and industry trends to maximize volume potential in their assigned division.
Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, conducting regular business reviews with major accounts to drive sales and secure renewals.
Channel Development: Develop strategies to improve distribution channels and expand market penetration in assigned divisions.
Mentorship: Guide and mentor less experienced sales team members, answering technical and procedural questions and teaching improved sales processes.
Promotional Execution: Lead the team in implementing and monitoring business programs and promotions to achieve sales targets.
Performance Monitoring: Analyze brand and SKU performance, monitor competitor activities, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) with weekly team reviews to draw out plans for goal achievement.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field is often preferred.
Experience: Significant selling experience, particularly with general trade accounts, is crucial. Some roles may require 2 or more years of experience handling modern trade accounts.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and develop effective strategies.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for client interactions and team leadership.
Strategic Thinking: A proactive and strategic approach to business development, client relationship management, and market execution is necessary.
