Job Description

As a Public Relations Specialist at DITO Telecommunity, you will be an integral part of our communications team, reporting directly to the PR Manager. Your key responsibilities will encompass a range of public relations functions aimed at enhancing DITO's reputation and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

Overview:

  • Responsible for the overall Brand & Marketing PR strategy of DITO. As part of the PR team, you will be in charge of creating, supporting, and maintain brand awareness, perception and positioning in the PH market through effective public relations campaigns.
  • Responsible for creating and promoting a favorable image of the company through development of a strong network of relevant media publications, influencers, online communities, and others.

· Providing support in planning, overseeing, and managing all necessary work requirements for any PR projects and initiatives.

· Developing an effective and measurable monitoring and reporting process for all PR efforts for DITO.

Responsibilities:

Work with the PR manager to plan, implement, and manage public relations programs that would benefit the image, visibility, and reputation of the over-all DITO brand.

· Media Relations

- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers.

- Develop and distribute press releases, ensuring accurate and timely communication of company news and updates.

· Event Management

- Coordinate and execute PR/Media events, including press conferences, product launches, and community engagement initiatives.

- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of PR-related events.

· Crisis Management

- Assist in developing and implementing crisis communication plans to effectively address and mitigate potential issues.

- Act as a spokesperson during crisis situations, working closely with the PR Manager to maintain transparency and trust.

· Content Creation

- Produce compelling written content for various channels, including press materials, speeches, and corporate communications.

- Ensure alignment of messaging with DITO Telecommunity's brand voice and values.

· Social Media Engagement

- Collaborate with the social media team to integrate PR strategies into DITO's social media presence.

- Monitor and respond to online conversations, addressing inquiries and comments from the public.

· Stakeholder Communication

- Engage with stakeholders, including customers, investors, and community leaders, to build positive relationships.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convey consistent messaging across all communication channels.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications / Business Management / Public Relations / Journalism or any related majors
  • 3-5yrs work experience, proven experience in public relations, preferably in the telecommunications or technology sector.
  • PR Management experience with A-level brands (telco brand experience is preferred)
  • Campaign Development, Execution and Management Experience
  • Must have a strong understanding of media, news cycle and digital platforms and experience on how to successfully achieve target coverage and positive share of voice
  • Established relationships with leading PH industry and lifestyle reporters and editors.
  • Outstanding media relations skills, including the experience and confidence to speak with the press with a wide, varying range of topics
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Filipino
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be self-motivated and result-oriented, with excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
