The Role
SUMMARY: The Junior pricing specialist is a key resource to on Blackhawk's pricing team. The pricing specialist uses information resources regarding historical data, market conditions, and internal margin/revenue targets to ensure we are priced competitively in the marketplace.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Develop and maintain pricing tools and profitability models
- Grow total gross margin dollars by identifying pricing actions that encourage higher margin rates
- Monitor input costing changes and develop sensitivity analysis thresholds to provide reporting on potential changes to finished item prices
- Participate in pricing-related projects
- Assist R&D efforts on Competitive pricing with market views and feedback
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proficient in problem solving and analytical skills
- Must be able to work on multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy
- Advanced Excel Skills required
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to drive analysis-driven change
- Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancements
- Knowledge of BI tools, practical experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performance
- College Degree required – preferably Accounting, Finance or Economics
- 1-2 years Sales experience is preferred.
- 1-2 years in the Industrial Distribution market is preferred.
