Department: Production

Location: JTI Malvar Branch

Reporting to: Department Leader

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the cigarette making/packing process by operating ancillary equipment, handling materials (packaging, semi-finish, finished goods, others), doing packing activities and system transactions within set company standards.
  • Ensure working environment is safe and take preventive measures by having safety awareness at all circumstances and following safety operation procedures.
  • Practice good housekeeping by meeting 5S requirement and practice environmental protection activities. Practice good housekeeping, ensure a clean and tidy workplace as well as adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Participate in Kaizen activities that organized by the Company for better improvement. Make improvement suggestions as necessary using proper format and process.
  • Openly communicate with superior and other team members to ensure smooth running of operation and suggest ideas for improvement by using appropriate channel, format, and process.

Who are you:

  • Preferably a graduate of a Vocational or Technical course
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating Sassib and GDX 1, 2 and 5 machines within the tobacco industry is advantage.
  • At least 1 year of technical experience in electronics and mechanical fields from other industries.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Reading and writing simple field work reports in English
    • Basic computer application skills (including data entry)
  • Flexibility to work on a shifting schedule
