Candidate must possess a Bachelor's / College Degree, Engineering Must at least come from a triple "A" construction or from a reputable construction company Must have handled at least a 200 M project up on a continuous basis is an advantage. Has proven project management work experience for the latest three years (3) years Computer literate (AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project etc.) Strategic thinking and leadership skillsHas good communication skills, capable in leading and managing huge number of people Good written and interpersonal skills.Ability to plan, prioritize and organize workload. PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Quantity Surveyor/Estimator is a critical position who will take off, quantify and make costings based on bid plans and specifications.

He/ She ensures accurate quantities and costs of labor, materials and other items required to win the bidding with reasonable profit that is workable in actual implementation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Shall study and review bid requirements thoroughly prior to the preparation of cost estimates. 2. Shall actively coordinate with the Procurement Engineer and Purchasing Department to ensure that updated and accurate market cost of materials and items are used in the cost estimates. 3. Shall prepare accurate quantity take-off based on plans. 4. Responsible for preparation of bid queries to be submitted to the Client during the course of cost estimates preparation. He/ She must ensure that all questionable items are brought up and submitted to the Client and must be pro-active in following up answers to these queries. 5. Coordinate with other estimators (architectural, civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, sanitary and plumbing) to ensure that all items are considered in the bid. 6. After submission of the bid, the QS/Estimator must sign an Accountability Form reflecting the area or scope of works he/she estimated. LIABILITIES
    1. Materials, items or scope of work which are not considered in the bid. 2. Incorrect or inaccurate quantities and/or cost of certain items which caused large amount of financial loss to the company. 3. He/ She shall ensure that all QA/QC documents of the entire project are safely kept such as but not limited to certificates, calibrations, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instructions.
