The CAD Drafter will be supporting the engineering team in successful completion of projects through their expertise as a CAD Operator. Initially, the CAD Drafter will be working on a remote set up and the long term plan of the team is to move to a hybrid set up with onsite work, once or twice a week only.

Creating drawing packages, sheet sets, sketches, as-builts using Autocad and or Civil 3D softwareConverting PDF or other image files to Autocad drawing, and vice versaMaintaining CAD blocks, templates, and librariesPerforming other responsibilities as necessary to support the successful completion of projectsYour Success Profile includes:2+ years related experience, preferred in Solar industry but not requiredWork experience as CAD Operator in an Engineering consulting firm or in construction industryProficient at drafting using Autocad, Civil 3D, Satellite Imaging Map Tools, Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of drafting symbols and abbreviationsHave experience using layers, linetypes, hatching, and other formatting tools to effectively communicateExperience with XREFs and reference of multiple files within a "working" drawingDegree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction related field preferredGeneral understanding of both electrical and mechanical conceptsMulti-task, prioritize, and work on multiple projectsStay on task and take initiative with little supervisionCommunicate clearly with team members, customers, and vendors. (written and verbal)Team player, ability to work with multidisciplinary teamAbility to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesVersatility, flexibility and willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasmAble to work in the nightshift, weekends, and holidays
