Role Purpose:

The QA Analyst is expected to focus on the set up and configuration of online booking tools, Serko and cytric.

This role will have excellent knowledge in their areas of expertise and be widely known as subject matter experts of online booking tools. They will use this expertise to offer solutions that align with their business unit's objectives.

This will also play a key role in gathering OBT (Online Booking Tool) requirements from stakeholders, configuring the OBT, testing to ensure the OBT is working correctly, and once live, providing ongoing support.

Systems stability and support of the OBTs is a critical component of this role ensuring that customers have the tools to make online bookings.

Be an authority in the area of specialization – i.e. Serko and cytric the two OBTs supported by the groupBecoming a subject matter expert on these core systems and integration points associated with these systemsUse this expertise to determine business and systems enhancements and process changes to increase the efficiency of business processesUnderstanding key issues, opportunities and provide solutionsPerforming quality risk-based testing as required, including contributing to the design, development and support of test solutionsChampioning stability, availability and reliability of the OBTs as released to users. Monitor performance and propose necessary actions.Delivering useful functional documentation that allows for easy support and understanding of our systemsBe a strong stream player, by following the agile ceremonies and supporting the cross functional nature of our stream modelStrong productive relationships with the IT teamKey Accountabilities:Configure the OBTs based on customers requirements.To investigate issues raised from Customer Support, users or through application monitoringTo resolve issues where possible or follow agreed processes for third tier resolution – with Infrastructure or Development involvement etc.Ensure clear and accurate communication to application owners and users regarding application releases, issues and other support informationEnsure all issues are logged as required in internal tracking/reporting systemsManage change and the successful deployment of application maintenance (bug fix) releasesMaintain a strong understanding of the business and their current challenges and objectivesDetermine requirements and document these in a form that can be used to design and develop systems changesWork is well defined with clear milestonesReporting is effectively communicated to your stream as requiredMake time for Personal Development to an agreed development planOur systems users are knowledgeable of how our systems deliver benefit and efficienciesMajor Challenges:Working within an exceptionally dynamic industrySpeed of business change, particularly within the travel industry and travel related technologyMaintaining strong, productive relationships with stakeholders, product owners and the IT teamRequirements:Experience in the travel industryStrong IT and System focus and aptitudeSystems and process focus, ideally with some travel expertise.Good attention to detailAn investigative nature that allows you to identify issues and work with the IT team and our partners to resolve them in a timely mannerAbility to work proactively with our product owners and the IT teamA flexible approach dependent on the task size, urgency and capacity to accept riskSolid background of testing experienceA desire to work as part of a team and support and develop othersA commitment to continuous learning and personal developmentWhat We Offer:Leave accrual upon hiringHMO for principal + 1 dependentSpecific client-initiated benefitsCompany-wide monthly engagement activitiesBe part of a company that values its employees
