Primary Function
The jobholder is primarily responsible for the overall treasury management functions of the Subsidiaries.Responsible for the placements of excess funds in high yielding instruments and the positioning of placements with maturing obligations. Job Description Asks quotations from accredited banks for various instruments on money market placementsSees to it that all market money placements are invested in high yielding instruments with accredited banks and are within investment limits set by ManagementPositions placements with maturing liabilities and maintains minimum cash in bank balancesConsults with Treasurers Department from time to time regarding bank quotations to make sure that rates quoted to the Subsidiaries are at least the same with PetronSeeks approval of the company Treasurer or the Executive Director the Investment Trading Form before all money market placements with banks are madePrepares letter-advise to banks or check for money market placements and makes sure that letter-advise or check is signed by authorized signatoriesProcesses payment of vendor invoices and checks completeness of documents prior to check preparationWrites check to vendors, contractors and insured based on duly approved invoices/bills or payment ordersHandles the companies' petty cash funds and observes disbursement limits as specified in the Petty Cash Fund InstructionHandles the remittances of VAT, taxes withheld and the corporate income tax to the BIRIssues certificate to vendors for taxes withheldPrepares deposit slips and deposits collection with the depository banksMaintains control of checks and cash receiptsPrepares daily cash position report and on a weekly basis, reports to Treasurers Department the investment portfolio of the Subsidiaries for consolidationCultivates and maintains harmonious relationships with banksPerforms other functions that maybe assigned by the Head-Finance and Support Services from time to time Qualifications Must be amenable to work onsite (Monday to Friday, 9AM to 6PM) in Mandaluyong City officeMust have Bachelor's Degree in AccountancyMust have good communication skills-
