The ideal candidate must possess at least three years of relevant experience for this hybrid role based in Makati City.


Job Overview:
The Assistant Accounting Manager, under the guidance of the Senior Accounting Manager, is responsible for analyzing financial data, generating timely reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. This position plays a crucial role in supporting financial operations, aiding in management decisions, and tracking key business metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
A. Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Verify completion of all transactions in the system.
  • Develop and execute closing procedures based on timelines set by the Senior Finance Manager.


B. General Accounting

  • Lead month-end closing and financial reporting, including account analysis and reconciliation.
  • Prepare and post JV payroll entries, conduct quarterly reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly general ledger reconciliations.
  • Verify financial statement accuracy as per GAAP and internal policies.

C. Treasury, Cash Management, and Collection

  • Ensure timely funding of payment requirements to prevent delays.
  • Maintain and optimize all active bank accounts, propose consolidation for efficiency.
  • Prepare, review, and submit monthly cashflow forecasts.
  • Monitor and implement fund placements, optimize forex transactions.
  • Facilitate bank credit facilities, oversee wire transfers, and ensure payment accuracy.
  • Manage bank pick-ups, cashiers, and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Plan collection strategies, follow up on overdue payments, and resolve discrepancies.


D. Taxation and Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure accurate tax reporting from vendor transactions.
  • Manage tax planning, compliance, income tax provisions, and BIR filings.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities.


E. Section Management

  • Ensure timely month-end closings and adherence to company policies.
  • Communicate promptly with relevant stakeholders for updates and requirements.
  • Provide support during financial operations' month and year-end closing activities.
  • Offer training and guidance to team members when necessary.


Key Requirements:

  • Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, preferably a CPA.
  • Demonstrable supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in accounting principles, practices, and tax laws.
  • Capable of making sound and timely decisions under pressure.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and management skills.
