We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager – Fixed Income Clearing & Settlements Principal responsibilities

  • To settle trades for HSBC London within Crest, sourcing and verifying SSIs as well as to work closely with other settlements sections, Middle Office and Delivery Management to ensure trades are fully settled successfully.
  • To continuously provide high quality processing service to achieve maximum customer satisfaction
  • Accurate recording of all issues / disputes during pre-matching
  • Provision of daily reporting to show control being maintained over pre-matching
  • Provide an excellent level of service and support to our colleagues, internal and external customers, taking ownership of issues arising, as well as developing and maintaining good relationships all around
  • Lead and motivate the team in a challenging environment along with meeting the business objectives by sharing knowledge, best practice and experience with colleagues at all levels.
Requirements

  • A post-graduate diploma or degree in any discipline. Higher qualification is not a bar provided aspirations are commensurate with the position.
  • Securities Fixed Income Experience is required.
  • Ability to speak and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to write business letters and reports.
  • Good conversational/telephone skills (process specific).
  • Ability to build rapport with and relate to a wide range of people.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working with voluminous data. Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting.

Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
