Job Overview:

The IT Intern will support the Information Technology team in maintaining and improving the company's IT infrastructure. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in various IT functions, including technical support, system maintenance, and cybersecurity. The IT Intern will work closely with the IT Manager and team to assist with daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to IT projects that enhance the technological efficiency of Casto Travel Philippines Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical problems, escalating issues as necessary.

Help in setting up workstations, including hardware and software installations.

System Maintenance:

Assist in regular maintenance of computer systems and network infrastructure.

Support the IT team in monitoring system performance and identifying potential issues.

Help manage and update the inventory of IT assets.

Cybersecurity:

Assist in implementing and monitoring cybersecurity measures to protect company data.

Support the team in conducting regular security checks and vulnerability assessments.

Help educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.

Network Administration:

Assist in managing the company's local area network (LAN) and internet connectivity.

Support the configuration and maintenance of network devices such as routers and switches.

Help in troubleshooting network-related issues to ensure seamless connectivity.

Software Development & Support:

Assist in the testing and deployment of new software applications.

Support in creating and maintaining documentation for software and systems.

Help in providing support for internal software tools and applications.

Data Management:

Assist in managing and backing up company data to ensure data integrity and availability.

Support in maintaining databases, including data entry, updates, and retrieval.

Help in generating IT-related reports and analytics.

IT Projects:

Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades, software rollouts, and infrastructure improvements.

Contribute to research and development of new IT solutions and technologies.

Assist in project documentation and progress tracking.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Strong interest in IT and a desire to develop technical skills.

Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
