Plantation Project Manager

I. Duties and Responsibilities

Project Planning

· Lead on the delivery of the project design phase of our new plantations (by defining project objectives, scope, timelines, staffing and budgets requirements) in collaboration with the General Manager and Chief Operating officer;

· Lead on the assessment and identification of project locations with high potentials in optimizing the productivity of our plantations;

· Work with the relevant government agencies (DENR; LGU's) to ensure alignment of our project priorities, as well as to reach out to local communities;

· Ensure availability of resources to meet the plantation project objectives within the agreed financial and operational parameters;

· Assist in formulating project deliverables that have to be worked on to achieve the goal of the Company for the plantations expansion;

· Other matters as appropriate.

Operations

· Reviewing, initiating and monitoring plantation activities to ensure the continued compliance of the operations in line with prescriptive Standard Operating Procedures;

· Oversee the manpower activities of our new plantations and any third parties involve in the project implementation to ensure all will adhere to operations standards;

· Other matters as deemed appropriate to the role and your skills and experience.

Risk Management

· Identify risks and uncertainties that may affect the project and create the foundation for running the risk management process throughout the project lifecycle;

· Support the design of a financial mechanism that is appropriate to the needs of project implementation;

· Ensure that adequate resources are provided, that competent manpower are assigned to the risk process and a policy for risk acceptability is defined and documented; and,

· Other matters as appropriate.

II. Skills and Qualities Desired

· Experienced in best practices for the plantation management;

· Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion;

· Strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with colleagues in various site operation;

· Ability to understand the overall goals and objectives of the company for plantation expansion and align their strategies accordingly;

· Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements;

· Ability to understand new issues quickly and make informed and well-considered decisions.

III. Education & Experience Requirements:

· Completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering; or any appropriate technical field;

· Proven experience in project management of a similar company size;

· Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies;

· Excellent reporting skills and proficient in Microsoft applications.
