As an Accounting Associate, you will:

Maintain Accurate Financial Records: Update and manage the company's Books of Accounts in accordance with the Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and Philippine Auditing Standards (PAS).Generate Financial Reports: Produce timely and accurate Financial Statements and other financial-related reports, adhering to agreed-upon timelines, formats, and criteria.Manage Fixed Assets: Maintain and update the company's Fixed Assets Lapsing Schedule, recording disposals as necessary.Prepare Journal Entries: Create applicable adjusting journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.Balance Sheet and Income Statement Schedules: Prepare detailed schedules for Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts.Conduct Variance Analysis: Analyze financial discrepancies and prepare comprehensive Variance Analysis reports.Financial Presentations: Prepare and present monthly financial updates to management.Ensure Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with BIR-related registrations and issuances.Coordinate Audits: Serve as the primary contact for year-end external audits, addressing audit issues and ensuring timely completion.Develop Policies and Procedures: Assist in the development and adoption of accounting and finance policies and procedures to support evolving business operations.Support Budget Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, though fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related field.Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and Word, with knowledge of financial closing, reporting, bank reconciliation, and data entry. Experience with accounting systems such as XERO or QUICKBOOKS is a plus.Tax Knowledge: Understanding of tax filing and compliance procedures.Availability: Immediate availability is a plus.Location: Willingness to report on-site in Valero, Makati.
