They are responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of an organization's computer systems and networks. This involves the implementation and management of various security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-virus software, and encryption tools

Managing and configuring security systems: Installing, configuring, and managing security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-virus software, and other security-related software and hardware.Monitoring network traffic and system logs: Monitoring network traffic and system logs to detect and respond to potential security threats or suspicious activities.Conducting regular security assessments: Conducting regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement in an organization's security posture.Developing and implementing security policies and procedures: Developing and implementing security policies and procedures to ensure that an organization's data and systems are protected against cyber threats.Responding to security incidents: Responding to security incidents such as data breaches, virus outbreaks, and other security incidents to contain the damage and prevent further damage to the organization's systems and data.Keeping up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies: Staying up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies to ensure that an organization's security systems are effective against current and emerging cyber threats.Installing, administering, and troubleshooting network security solutions.Updating software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are present for each network resource.Performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and developing disaster recovery plans.Configuring security systems, analyzing security requirements, and recommending improvements.Monitoring network traffic for suspicious behavior.Creating network policies and authorization roles and defending against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction.Consulting with staff, managers, and executives about the best security practices and providing technical advice.Configuring and supporting security tools, such as firewalls and anti-virus software.Training staff to understand and use security protocols. Minimum RequirementsMust be a graduate of the following IT-related or engineering courseBS Computer Engineering (BSCPE)BS Electronic and Communication Engineering (BSECE)BS Electric Engineering (BSEE)BS Computer Science (BSCS)BS Information Technology (BSIT)BS Management Information Systems (BSMIS)With 5-year supervisory work experience in Infrastructure and SecurityExperience in the same industry is an advantage.ITIL certification an advantageWilling to be assigned in Don Chino Roces, Makati City
