About the Role

As a Finance Associate, you will be a key member enabling Hive's financial and operational excellence focusing on managing accounts receivable (A/R) and taxation functions. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and compliance with tax regulations in a fast-moving complex insurtech space. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams in growth, customer success, engineering, and medical operations to continuously improve the healthcare experience of Hive's members and scale our services to existing and new customers. This position offers growth opportunities within our dynamic organization.

Location

This is a hybrid role based in Metro Manila, Philippines, subject to change based on business needs. You must be able to commute to our office in the Ortigas area at least once per week.

Responsibilities

Finance OperationsManage end-to-end accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliationsMonitor and follow up on outstanding receivables, collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issuesProcess business transactions, and verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable recordsTaxation and CompliancePrepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulationsAssist in tax planning and forecasting to optimize the company's tax positionReportingMaintain and organize accurate financial records, including invoicing, taxation, claims, and expense managementDocument financial and accounting transactionsPrepare financial reportsAnalyze and report financial metrics, while communicating actionable insightsHelp manage shareholder communities such as customers, providers, regulators, and investorsTeam CollaborationDetermine appropriate tools and processes to streamline financial systemsCollaborate with cross-functional colleagues in growth, customer success, engineering, and medical operations on responding to evolving customer needsOther roles that may be required to support operationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent fieldMust be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)At least 2 years of relevant experience in finance operations, accounting, or taxationTech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft ExcelStrong understanding of accounting principles and working tax regulations in the PhilippinesHigh attention to detail and excited to learn new skills and toolsKnowledge of and experience in Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), healthcare, insurance, or financial services industry, is a plusBenefits & Perks of Joining UsBe part of a founding team that is transforming healthcare in the Philippines and beyondComprehensive healthcare benefits (we practice what we preach)Career development and mentorshipFlexible working environmentAccess to global tech and advisory support from Harvard, Stanford, and more
