About the Unit: Transport

Transport Unit is primarily responsible for providing trucks based on the requirements of various NV business segments. This department is in collaboration with Procurement team in performing tasks such as 3PL Sourcing, Contracting, Tender Exercises and Vendor Management. Aside from dealing with 3PL's, Transport is responsible with the repair and maintenance of company owned units in coordination with users from business segments.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The 3PL Transport Officer shall be in charge of supervising driver's performance, allocating driver assignments, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining all vehicles in top working order. He shall also manage databases that detail transport activities, employee schedules and personnel records.

MAIN DUTIES:

Vehicle booking to designated vendors based on the approved requests of each departmentEnsures only approved vehicle requests are booked and deployedEnsures ordered/booked vehicles arrive on time at the requesting party/origin hubEnsures correctness of booked/deployed vehicle vs actual vehicle type requestedWork closely with the transport billing team in assisting on the reverse billing data or fulfilled trip validationCommunication between the 3pl partners and end-users/requestorsHandle issues and operational challenges relating to 3pl and proper reportingLeads the compliance in the timely and correct updating of the truck logs from the transport side up to the end-user's acknowledgementTimely and proper escalation of challenges which he/she sees deemed beyond his/her capacity as a transport coordinatorCreation of MMDA accounts for new inhouse/3PL drivers. QUALIFICATIONS:Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate related to Transport or Distribution ManagementAt least 2 years' relevant experience, from Freight Forwarding and 3PL industry. Good communication skills, both verbal and writtenExperience in booking 3PL and answering query of delivery.
