The role
This role leads the overall subcontractor sourcing of Lazada Logistics for First Mile and Middle Mile
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Works with the Pricing & Contracts Team in the implementation of Contract Agreements and SLA.
Build the Subcon Vendor pipeline, leads, and database to produce the required Fleet Capacity.
Improve performance of contracted vendors thru performance management.
Ensures all vendors are meeting their performance targets and capacity agreements
Generate new subcon vendors needed to build up the capacity requirements thru pipeline build up and management
Analyze complex problems, evaluate alternatives and make creative recommendations.
Responds to escalations of bottlenecks/issues and be able to provide solutions/recommendations to address the challenges -
Gathering of freight proposals from the vendor partners to support the fleet requirements/projects
Evaluates and administers work assignments and schedules of subordinates
Monitors the reports and ensures to meet the given timelines
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Handles monthly SLA review with the vendors
Onboarding orientation of outsourced personel or seasonal employees
Coach and mentor the subordinates to correct deficiencies
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, colleagues, touchpoints and vendor partners
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other courses are welcome relevant to the position or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
At least 2 years' experience in vendor management in 3PL or trucking as people manager (Manager Capacity)
At least 2 years' experience in Commercial and Operations Management
Requirements/Qualifications(good to have)
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good in MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Process oriented and KPI driven
Excellent understanding of management practices and techniques.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Can handle internal and external communication with courtesy and professionalism.
Organized and detail-oriented.
