WHAT IS A LOANS OFFICER?

Our awesome client, a financial organization in Australia is looking for an Loans Officer to be part of their Team.


Verification Officers perform validation and verification checks for financial information, identification and documents involved in the loan application and approval process.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES?

Review and verify declared information, including financial, employment and residential, against provided documents to determine validity and accuracyVerify identification documentsEngage with brokers and applicants via phone and email to request outstanding documentation and information where requiredEngage with employers to verify employment and income information where requiredEnsure that all internal policies are adhered toEnsure that standard operating procedures are followedEnsure each application complies with responsible lending obligations and AML/CTF requirementsIdentify and escalate suspicious applicationsAnalyse direct debit and disbursement detailsAccurate data entry and record keepingAd-hoc tasks as required WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 2-3+ years of exposure in verificationExcellent attention to detailProfessional verbal and written communication skillsSound working knowledge of consumer lending regulatory and compliance requirements preferredThe ability to build relationships and coordinate with internal and external customersAbility to build rapport with brokers and introducersHighly organised and adaptable to changeAbility to work autonomously MEASURES OF SUCCESS Number of decisions per dayQuality Assurance and Hindsight resultsMaintain service level agreementsAdhere to compliance requirements
