About Our Client The company is a global firm that provides a variety of financial services within the banking and payment sectors.

Job Description

  • Monitor and analyze security logs, events, and incidents to identify and address potential threats.
  • Conduct forensic investigations in the event of security breaches.
  • Supervise and guide a team of security analysts and incident responders to ensure prompt and efficient identification, examination, and resolution of security incidents and events.
  • Establish and uphold a security incident and event management program, including the development of playbooks, procedures, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with different departments and stakeholders to embed security incident and event management across all operational aspects of the organization.

Security Policy and Compliance:

  • Create and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to meet data protection laws and regulations.
  • Develop and execute technology security incident and event management policies, procedures, and best practices for timely and effective response to security incidents and events.
  • Work closely with internal teams to deploy security controls and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to pertinent security and data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.

Security Awareness and Training:

  • Provide security awareness training to staff to foster a cybersecurity culture.

Security Infrastructure and Solutions:

  • Roll out and oversee security infrastructure like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption tools.
  • Set up and maintain security software and tools for threat detection and prevention.

Research and Innovation:

  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Propose and implement creative security solutions to boost the company's security stance.

Vulnerability Management:

  • Identify and evaluate security vulnerabilities through routine security assessments and penetration testing.
  • Apply patches and updates promptly to tackle vulnerabilities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a cybersecurity engineering role or a similar position.
  • Thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Hands-on familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, SIEM, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
