Operational Risk and Compliance Lead

Compliance & Risk (Banking & Financial Services)

As part of Operational Risk and Compliance Team (ORC Team), will be responsible for conducting various activities of the ORC framework, including Compliance, Audits and Governance, Operational Risk Management, Business Continuity Management and some other tasks. Main stakeholders that you will communicate with will be Delivery Teams Heads, Enabled Service Teams, Internal and External Auditors, Onshore Compliance and Supply and Demand Management Team.

Qualifications:

• Preferably with experience in Risk management, Compliance, especially by working in international companies or as regulator or consultant.
• Understanding about Compliance and Control activities and capital markets products knowledge (for e.g. Insurance).
• Advanced insurance knowledge is preferred.
• Excellent operational abilities including operational risk assessment capabilities as well as the experience to assess the appropriateness of control procedures.
• Team management, leadership skills; strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to assimilate information very quickly and understand the context of each specific research deliverable.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and solve different queries by working together with the teams and individually.
• Good problem solving and analysis, planning and organizational skills.
• Client focus, high motivation, and proactivity.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist in Validation of all Control Objectives and respective Control Standards for the existing processes off shored on periodic basis.
• Assist in developing new Control Documentations for newly transitioned process
• Coordinate for Self-Assessment of controls activity across all delivery teams on regular basis and prepare reports on exceptions to senior management.

Compliance:

• Conduct Relevant Mandatory Compliance Induction trainings for all new joiners onboarding with the account as per the agreed requirements across all client premises.
• Conduct surprise Clear Desk checks on regular basis and reporting exceptions to the respective line managers in order to promote the awareness to the employees for ensuring Data Confidentiality.
• Train account employees on relevant regulations and their impacts.
  
  

Audits:

• Coordinate with enabled services and delivery teams across all client premises and ensure timely submission of data to Auditors.
• Audit Preparedness, Pre-audit Checks and Timely closure of observations and queries
• Conduct periodic Internal review
• Perform Quality checks on Reports prepared and submitted by the team to Auditors and ensure all the Reports are 100% accurate.
• Coordinate with the Auditors and provide them with the required documentation.
• Review Audit observations and follow up till closure of findings / non- compliance

Governance:

• Coordinate Risk and Governance Committee meetings on a monthly basis attended by Senior Management to discuss Key risk issues and areas with potential risks.
• Review the MSA and establish the necessary compliance plan and framework for each account responsible for.

Other:

• Assist in preparation of Client Presentations and assist in new business proposals.
• Handle all the escalations.
