Qualifications:

  1. A Certified Public Accountant

Job Description/Summary

  1. Review all transactions and journal entries on the university's research and other project accounts.
  2. Reconcile the research and other project account balances based on the general and the subsidiary ledgers.
  3. Submit a monthly reconciliation statement containing the necessary adjusting entries for research and other project accounts.
  4. Develop mechanisms to ensure the balances of the research and other project accounts are fairly stated.
  5. Document the applicable accounting policies based on the international financial reporting standards for the research and other project accounts and prepare the disclosure requirements for the year-end financial statements.
  6. Identify and assess the risks of research and other project accounts and develop the necessary control activities to mitigate those risks.
  7. Analyze the managerial implications of the data in the research and other project accounts.
