To successfully share your Cruise knowledge and provide exceptional sales and service to our customer and in turn to their customers as part of the Supply Chain.
Detailed Job Description:
- Contribute to the team meeting retail service standards as per retail SLA
- Go the extra mile to get the best cruise deal
- Business is channeled to our preferred cruise line partners
- Apply knowledge in the day-to-day role to add value to retail
- Actively participate in all cruise product updates
- Actively completing CLIA accreditation levels to ensure cruise knowledge is up to date
- Celebrate wins when successfully securing the best deal
- Regularly identify opportunities for upselling and actively seek itinerary gaps offering further sales opportunities
- Provide visible evidence of success in upselling
- Be motivated, empowered and regularly achieve outstanding results
- Be a positive influence in the team
- Share and contribute to a positive, proactive and fun culture
- Contribute and drive individual development plan
- Keeping abreast of Cruise technology platforms & cruise product changes, and how they impact the business
- Working with multiple cruise line systems
- Understanding needs of the cruise customer
- Openness to embrace change
Knowledge, Skill-set and Experience Required:
- Hold some formal travel or tourism qualification.
- Superior Cruise product knowledge of the major international cruise lines
- In depth knowledge of the various ports around the world and their locations in relation to main tourist destinations/Airports etc.
- Ideally have attained a CLIA accreditation level
- Personal cruise experience
- Previously sold international cruises at a retail or wholesale level
- Team player, independent thinker, open minded & flexible
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work professionally, accurately and efficiently under pressure
- Ability to remain professional at all times when dealing with difficult situations
- Passionate about the customer
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage a varied and substantial workload
- A good understanding of the workings of the travel industry
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven commitment to personal Ongoing Cruise & Destination Training
