The Finance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and monitoring all aspects of the financial operations of the company, including accounting, payrolls financial reporting/systems, budget, cash management and other finance-related functions. Guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company.
  • Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions.
  • Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.
  • Oversee the operations and development of the company's finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
  • Cash flow management including weekly cash flow reporting and fund request, if needed
  • Prepare tax computations and returns and ensure legal compliance with taxation.
  • Oversee operations of the Finance Department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
  • Prepare and analyze various financial reports (annual financial statements, etc).
  • Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
  • Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company.
  • Research and analyze financial reports and market trends.
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.
  • Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings.
  • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or closely related discipline.
  • At least 5-10 years of work experience managing an Accounting / Finance team. Comprehensive managerial experience at a senior level in the financial management.
  • Professional Accounting qualification such as CA or CPA
  • Knowledge of regulatory and other financial standards and requirements
  • Understanding of taxation, payroll and other fiscal aspects of a business
  • Experience conducting audits
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient user of finance and accounting software
  • Able to work under pressure and carry out sound decisions during critical situations
  • Should have a deep sense of responsibility and integrity
  • Must be results-oriented, flexible, proactive and dynamic
  • Good oral and written communication skills and can coordinate effectively.
  • Have strong leadership and maturity to lead the team
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
