Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)

  • As a Purchaser, you will play a critical role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that we source high-quality materials and services at the best possible prices. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and coordinating logistics to ensure timely delivery. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation:

Identify and source suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality, and logistical expenses.

Assess and evaluate vendors through in-person visits, interviews, and detailed analysis to ensure they meet our quality standards.

Develop and maintain a robust database of reliable suppliers and service providers.

  • Negotiation and Contract Management:

Negotiate sale agreements and supply contracts that align with the company's financial and operational objectives.

Ensure contracts include key terms and conditions that protect the company's interests.

  • Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with various internal departments (e.g., production, finance, logistics) to ensure all customer requests and internal needs are met.

Coordinate with shipping agencies and sellers to guarantee timely deliveries.

Oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services, addressing any issues promptly.

Authorize payments and manage purchasing expenses, ensuring meticulous record-keeping.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to purchasing activities.

  • Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a similar industry.

Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.

  • Skills and Competencies:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Additional Qualifications:

Familiarity with local market dynamics and supplier networks in Cebu.
