Developers/Programmers (Information & Communication Technology)

As a NodeJS Backend Developer, you will be instrumental in shaping the backend architecture of our change management system. You will balance maintenance with innovation to ensure our system remains cutting-edge yet reliable. This role is pivotal in driving forward our goal of automating construction industry operations.

What you will be doing

  • Collaborate with a dynamic team across various time zones to design, build, test, and maintain services within our domain
  • Take ownership of services from inception through deployment, focusing on optimizing performance and quality
  • Engage in the potential to broaden your expertise by working across the stack, from backend to frontend development
  • Participate in the gradual migration from NodeJS to Golang, ensuring a smooth transition and continued support for NodeJS development

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient experience in NodeJS and backend development
  • Strong skills in SQL and MongoDB

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with TypeScript, Docker, ReactJS, and Golang is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Google BigQuery, Refactoring techniques, and cloud platforms, particularly GCP services like GK, Docker containers, K8, and autoscale
  • Experience or willingness to learn frontend development
  • Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and logging tools such as Datadog or Sentry
  • Previous work with Express and Sequelize is beneficialPrevious deployment experience
  • Experience with microservices or serverless projects
  • Ability and willingness to lead and onboard new team members as our project scales will be considered an asset
