MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible to ensure timely and accurate delivery of management and financial reports for the various Vessel Owners including but not limited to Local Regulatory Reporting deadlines and processes.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform analytical review of monthly submissions from VA accountants according to SLA/KPI
  • Assure that all necessary reconciliations and controls are performed on monthly basis.
  • Assure that deadlines and quality requirements are met for customers reporting.
  • Close cooperation with Singapore Vessel controlling team during month-end, year-end and budgeting period.
  • Provide support to vessel controllers.
  • Help identify opportunities for automation/integration considering the corporate IT strategy, hereunder developing reports and automated interfaces (upload files)
  • Managing full set of accounts for vessels under management
  • Managing intercompany reconciliation were applicable.
  • Ensure all reconciling items in all balance sheet reconciliations are identified and resolved on a timely basis.
  • Handles day-to-day accounting matters.
  • Supervise a team of account executives.
  • Maintain all record and accounting entries for retrieval during audit.
  • Oversee and enhance accounting process.
  • Ensure adoption of best practice ideas by all local resources for adoption
  • Participate in various projects, as required.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma / Master's degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • Highly motivated, structured, and quality driven individual who in parallel possesses strong initiative, excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates Team collaboration and Team spirit.
  • Good command in English – oral and written skills
  • Excellent Analytical Skills
  • Profound in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knows Shipnet Accounting System a plus.

EXPERIENCE

  • With at least 5-8 years related experience from shared services company.
  • With strong background in Financial Data Processes and Analysis
  • At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field in the same capacity is required for this position.
  • Experience in handling several client's financial reports.
  • Experience in processing and dealing with local Regulatory agencies.
