JOB SUMMARY

The Chief Finance Officer oversees the Finance Division, which handles the financial transactions of the company. He/she directly reports to the President and provides all financial information the Treasurer needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Overall supervision of the Finance Department of the hospital which includes the following:

  • Accounting Department which includes Account Payables, Accounts Receivable, Property and Inventory.
  • Finance Sections including Phil health, Central Registration, Billing, Credit and Collection.
  • Departments under Finance Division such Treasury which includes Cashiering section and Admitting Section, Supply Chain Department which includes General Storeroom.

2. Develop and implement financial policies, system, and procedures to have an effective internal control and ensure that hospital is compliant with orders, circulars, regulations and restrictions issued by duly constituted government agencies.

3. Plan the programs and goals of the Finance Division for each coming period

4. Organize the staffing pattern for an effective organizational structure, efficient workflow and proper delineation of duties and responsibilities.

5. Responsible for costing and pricing of services of the hospital.

6. Checks and recommend for approval all credit memos for offsetting of accounts, special discounts and other transactions affecting company's receivables and payables.

7. Supervise budget preparation of departments and consolidates the same for presentation to the President and the Board of Directors.

8. Approves all hospitals discounts to employees and other courtesy discounts in accordance with policies.

9. Prepares schedule and financing for capital expenditures.

10. Prepares weekly report for the President and Hospital Administrator.

11. Ascertains that the properties of the company are properly monitored, recorded, controlled, utilized and adequately insured.

12. Evaluates the company's investment activities and makes recommendations that would b beneficial to the company.

13. Handles all BIR examinations.

14. Ensure that preparation and filling of monthly VAT return, quarterly VAT return, quarterly income tax return, annual income tax return and business tax are carried out before deadline set by BIR.

15. Coordinates with the Accounting Head in the preparation of fair and accurate monthly and annual financial statements.

16. File with SEC the Audited Financial Statement based on schedule set by responsible government body.

17. Submits all financial statements and reports to the President and Treasurer including all analyses done.

18. File with SEC the Audited Financial Statement based on schedule set by responsible government body.

19. Reports to the MANCOM and EXECOM monthly results of operations of the hospital for the previous month with analysis of result of operations and answers all queries on reports presented

20. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the President from time to time.

QUALIFICATION

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant
  • At least with five (5) years managerial experience for finance, accounting or its equivalent.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication
  • Proficient in computer
  • Knows how to deal with clients from different walks of life
  • Can handle and develop subordinates intellectually and emotionally.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • 13th month salary
  • Overtime pay
  • Yearly bonus
